Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week and Q2B conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research funding through NSF and DoE grants by developing compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science while building a world-class research team
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of industry research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing breakthroughs
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Strong background in statistical analysis and computational modeling
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing academic-industry partnerships
