Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and machine learning optimization
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to develop quantum-resistant security protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from federal and corporate partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and quantum supremacy principles
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
