Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead quantum hardware optimization projects with cryogenic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/industry grants
- Patent breakthrough quantum methodologies for commercial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF, DOE, or corporate grants)
