Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead R&D initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at global quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and hardware-software co-design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage research budgets
