Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical research into commercial solutions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with low-temperature quantum hardware systems (dilution refrigerators)
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and quantum algorithms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex quantum systems
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
