Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical AI frameworks
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish university partnerships
- Translate theoretical models into practical applications for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent impact factor
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit manipulation
- Proven track record of securing government research funding (NSF, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning architectures
- Strong Python/C++ proficiency and HPC optimization skills
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
