Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms and error-correction techniques for 50+ qubit systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with software engineers to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Patent quantum innovations with commercialization potential
- Present research at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped ion systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with machine learning for quantum state tomography
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
