Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Lead error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration with engineering teams
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoD grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science
- Develop patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
