Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum modules into hybrid classical-quantum architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at leading conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, Hamiltonian simulation, and variational algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-performance computing
- Published record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) or conference proceedings
- Experience with cryogenic systems, microwave engineering, or photonics experimentation
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal grants (NSF, DOE) or corporate R&D funding
