Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and optimization techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants
