Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum hardware architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with AI specialists to create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion technologies
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DoE)
- Clearance for classified government projects (preferred)
