Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-development initiatives with engineering teams
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics and computational theory
- Drive commercial applications of quantum technology in finance and healthcare
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/IEEE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in research funding
- Expertise in topological quantum computing and quantum machine learning
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
