Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research projects in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Develop intellectual property portfolio with 5+ patents annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting and photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in commercializing research
