Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum hardware solutions
- Present findings at global quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum complexity theory or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in quantum error mitigation techniques
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
