Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to stabilize qubits beyond current limitations
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype and validate quantum systems
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and topological qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in research grants or corporate funding
