Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Conduct experimental research on superconducting qubits and quantum error correction
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks to model complex molecular systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum machine learning and neural networks
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Strong background in machine learning algorithms and high-performance computing
- Track record of publishing in top-tier journals or conferences (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
