Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with hardware and software teams
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead technical workshops
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks
- Published work in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with machine learning integration in quantum systems
