Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit stability and coherence times
- Identify commercial applications for quantum technologies in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Secure and manage research partnerships with leading academic institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or high-energy physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design principles
- Strong background in machine learning and its applications to quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable business strategies
- Experience securing federal or corporate research grants (>$500K)
