Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government grants
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published research in quantum algorithm development
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Track record of securing NSF or DARPA funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
