Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams across physics, computer science, and materials engineering domains
- Secure federal SBIR grants and publish findings in Nature Physics/Science
- Develop error-correction methodologies to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Partner with Intel and IBM to prototype quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and topological qubit design
- Present breakthroughs at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 peer-reviewed papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record securing $10M+ in government research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and topological qubit fabrication
- Experience leading international research consortia (EU Quantum Flagship, etc.)
- Fluency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries (QuTiP, TensorFlow Quantum)
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
