Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead research into quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum annealing systems
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from DARPA/NSF
- Develop industry partnerships with Fortune 500 quantum adopters
- Present breakthrough findings at international quantum symposiums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
