Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for industrial-scale optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototype development
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to deploy quantum solutions in logistics and finance
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research
- Proven expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or topological quantum systems
- Strong publication record in quantum computing (h-index >15)
- Background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for C-suite stakeholders
