Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization, cryptography, and simulation applications
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top quantum computing journals
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in enterprise solutions
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and secure research funding
