Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and scalability
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Develop patents and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum solutions
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through government grants and partnerships
- Present findings at international quantum computing symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Proven track record of securing research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience mentoring research teams of 5+ scientists
- Knowledge of NISQ-era quantum hardware limitations
