Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Drive research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop next-generation quantum talent
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of quantum research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Strong background in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
