Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for next-gen cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop error mitigation techniques for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on classified quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum gate-level programming
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Active QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) implementation experience
- US citizenship required for government contracts
