Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and AI optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in experimental quantum system development
- Drive research initiatives targeting quantum supremacy milestones by 2026
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and represent Nexus at global tech summits
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience leading technical teams with budgets exceeding $1M
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into investor presentations
