Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants annually
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing curricula
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum simulation projects
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven grant-writing success with federal agencies
- Strong background in complex system simulations and AI optimization
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Clearance for government-level quantum research projects
