Responsibilities
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Mentor cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for quantum experimentation
- Collaborate with MIT and CERN on quantum supremacy initiatives
- Translate quantum research into commercial IP portfolios
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Science, or related field
- 8+ years of quantum computing research with 3+ years in leadership
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Proven track record of securing NSF or DARPA grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor integration
- Strong background in topological quantum computing theory
