Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Drive intellectual property strategy and patent portfolio development
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices in quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong understanding of quantum mechanics principles and linear algebra
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theories into practical applications
