Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable quantum computing hardware architectures
- Develop cryogenic cooling systems for qubit stabilization
- Implement quantum error correction protocols at scale
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world industrial applications
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Lead research initiatives in topological qubit development
- Document quantum system specifications and security protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum computing hardware or superconducting systems
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum error mitigation
- Published research in quantum computing or topological materials
- Ability to obtain DOE Q-Clearance for classified projects
