Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into functional hardware
- Optimize quantum circuit performance using advanced compiler techniques
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Maintain documentation of quantum system architectures and protocols
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with low-level hardware interfacing and cryogenic systems
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from concept to deployment
- Knowledge of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
