Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Establish security frameworks for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Partner with academic institutions to publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Define roadmaps for quantum hardware-software integration
- Mentor junior scientists in quantum programming languages like Q# and Qiskit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of published quantum computing research (arXiv submissions required)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in cybersecurity and post-quantum cryptography
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants for quantum research initiatives
