Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with error correction capabilities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research teams in quantum material science and cryogenic engineering
- Collaborate with AI division to integrate quantum accelerators into machine learning pipelines
- Architect secure quantum communication networks resistant to decryption
- Drive patent development for quantum computing innovations
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and research scientists
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit or trapped ion technologies
- Knowledge of quantum machine learning frameworks
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Track record of leading high-stakes R&D projects
