Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead integration of quantum algorithms with classical high-performance computing frameworks
- Collaborate with AI research teams to develop quantum machine learning models
- Present breakthrough architectures to C-suite executives and government innovation councils
- Secure patents for novel quantum hardware designs and computational methods
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging technologies like quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals (Nature/Science preferred)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing DoD or NSF grants for quantum research projects
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware integration
- Strong presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
