Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures and error-correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead integration of quantum systems with classical HPC infrastructure
- Research and implement quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Document quantum system specifications and performance benchmarks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research or commercial quantum development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
