Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with 1000+ qubit capabilities
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Optimize quantum algorithms for pharmaceutical and materials science applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Establish industry standards for quantum-classical hybrid computing
- Secure $50M+ in government and private research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in quantum hardware development or quantum algorithm design
- Expertise in superconducting qubits or topological quantum computing
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Track record of securing quantum computing patents
