Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for real-time data processing
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum algorithms for industrial applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patentable innovations in quantum-AI convergence
- Optimize quantum circuit architectures for specific hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research into commercial solutions
- Secure federal grants and venture capital for cutting-edge research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years post-grad research
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms (QNN, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and Python/R
- Published record in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum conferences
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and error mitigation techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to secure research funding (NSF, DARPA, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
