Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for AI optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing quantum-resistant neural architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants and partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science and lead patent portfolios
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum AI methodologies
- Drive commercialization of quantum AI solutions through strategic industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum/AI journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and classical AI optimization
