Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and pattern recognition
- Lead hybrid quantum-classical AI system development for real-world applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, NeurIPS, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through weekly hackathons
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA/industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Physics with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Grover's variants)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum supremacy
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum error correction
- Experience with superconducting qubits or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of translating theoretical research into scalable prototypes
