Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects integrating quantum hardware with classical AI pipelines
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Author breakthrough research papers for top-tier publications (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford partners on quantum-secure communication protocols
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum algorithm development
- Secure $2M+ in federal innovation grants for quantum-AI initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with quantum annealing platforms (D-Wave, Rigetti)
- Strong background in Python/C++ with high-performance computing skills
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into functional prototypes
- Clearance for DoD quantum research projects (or ability to obtain)
