Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for complex data modeling
- Develop error-corrected quantum circuits for high-fidelity computation
- Create hybrid quantum-classical pipelines for real-world industrial applications
- Optimize quantum annealing protocols for logistics and supply chain challenges
- Author peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing journals
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate research into commercial prototypes
- Secure $10M+ in government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq
- Proficiency in Python with NumPy/SciPy and quantum simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum annealing
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical physics
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DoE)
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
