Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and testing of high-efficiency ion thrusters and cryogenic fuel systems for deep space missions.
- Oversee cross-functional engineering teams to ensure strict compliance with ISO 26262 and NASA safety standards.
- Conduct rigorous simulation modeling and risk assessments to validate propulsion capabilities under extreme conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation, safety, and precision within the propulsion division.
- Collaborate with mission control to troubleshoot in-flight anomalies and optimize propulsion efficiency.
- Publish technical white papers and present findings to international aerospace conferences.
Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in rocket propulsion, spacecraft systems, or advanced thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages (C++, Python) and simulation software (ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB).
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, high-stakes engineering projects from concept to launch.
- Strong understanding of life support systems integration and sustainability protocols.
