Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts through 2035
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for clients navigating exponential change
- Design ethical governance protocols for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Present strategic futures to C-suite executives and government agencies
- Build and lead a cross-functional team of futurists and domain experts
- Author white papers and thought leadership for industry publications
- Advise product teams on long-term innovation roadmaps
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting technological disruptions with 80%+ accuracy
- Expertise in scenario modeling, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis
- Published work in peer-reviewed futurism journals or industry reports
- Experience with exponential technology assessment (AI, biotech, quantum)
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ high-impact futures projects
