Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive forces impacting industries by 2026
- Develop and implement strategic innovation frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AGI)
- Partner with R&D teams to translate future scenarios into actionable R&D roadmaps
- Design and facilitate foresight workshops with executive stakeholders and industry partners
- Author thought leadership content and predictive models for market positioning
- Oversee incubation of moonshot projects with 5-10 year commercialization horizons
- Establish ethical guardrails for future-facing technologies and societal impact assessments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of publishing future-focused research or white papers
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and technology forecasting
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum, neurotech)
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership in matrix organizations
- Strong network with futurist communities, academic institutions, and industry bodies
- Portfolio demonstrating tangible impact from future-oriented initiatives
