Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions for 2026 market readiness
- Partner with R&D teams to integrate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Author thought leadership white papers and executive briefings on disruptive forces reshaping industries
- Establish KPIs for innovation maturity and track adoption of future-ready initiatives across 15+ business units
- Curate an internal 'Future Council' of industry experts to challenge assumptions and accelerate innovation cycles
- Present strategic roadmaps to investors and board members securing $50M+ annual innovation budget
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products/services with 3+ years lead time
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., STEEP analysis, Delphi techniques)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their socioeconomic implications
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with proficiency in visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- PhD or advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field preferred
- Published thought leadership in top-tier innovation journals (e.g., MIT Sloan, Harvard Business Review)
