Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Identify and analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, biotech, AI ethics) with commercial potential
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to forecast disruptive market shifts and competitive threats
- Facilitate ideation workshops with R&D, product, and design teams to generate breakthrough concepts
- Develop patentable innovation frameworks and strategic partnerships with academic institutions
- Present futuristic scenarios to investors and board members to secure funding for moonshot projects
- Mentor junior innovators while fostering a culture of bold experimentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic innovation or technology foresight roles with Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized systems
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent methodology training
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) and predictive modeling platforms
