Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions through 2030
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for C-suite decision-making
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-ready solutions (AR/VR, quantum AI, synthetic biology)
- Translate complex futures into compelling narratives for stakeholders, investors, and product teams
- Establish KPIs for innovation maturity and track adoption of emerging technologies
- Partner with R&D to de-risk R&D pipelines through futures-based prototyping
- Present quarterly foresight briefings to the board and executive leadership team
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or ventures
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, AGI ethics, neurotech, or climate-tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex adaptive systems
- Published thought leadership in foresight publications (e.g., Futures, Foresight Journal)
- Proficiency in foresight tools: Delphi method, causal layered analysis, or cross-impact matrices
