Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks for product development and market expansion
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present foresight findings to executive stakeholders and board members
- Partner with R&D teams to integrate future trends into product roadmaps
- Author thought leadership reports and industry trend whitepapers
- Manage a $2M innovation budget for pilot projects and partnerships
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial success
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and trend impact analysis
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, neurotech)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Experience scaling innovation programs in Fortune 500 environments
