Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and quantify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic frameworks for clients to navigate disruption and capitalize on future opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align leadership teams on future-ready roadmaps
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market viability
- Represent Horizon Labs at industry conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior strategists in futures-thinking methodologies and analytical frameworks
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or corporate foresight roles
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for executive audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFPS) preferred
